As a music store owned and operated by musicians, we select brands that match our quality standards of excellence both in the learning phases and in the professional atmosphere. El Dorado Hills Music is proud to be an authorized dealer for Kala Brand Music Co., local manufacturer of quality Ukuleles, Ubass, and other Stringed Instruments based out of Petaluma, CA.
We carry Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone Ukuleles with and without electronics, and the Kala UBASS. We are happy to special order any Kala Ukulele directly from the manufacturer. Most in-stock Kala special orders arrive in 1-2 days.
We are Kala Brand Music Co. and we are from Petaluma, CA. Our hometown is nestled in the Sonoma wine country and a harbor to an eclectic mix of artists, farmers, breweries and tech companies. We are a community deeply rooted in creativity and culture, spread across the many platforms and mediums of art, food, dairy, and music. Our character stems from our hometown drawing influence from Petaluma’s turn of the century downtown, its Gold Rush history and the modern meets historical vibe. We know it isn’t Hawaii, the birthplace of the ukulele, but it’s the birthplace of our ukulele—the handmade Kala Elite USA ukulele.
We are introducing several new uke additions in 2018. We have 4 new KA-15 models including a Black Satin Stain Soprano, Concert and Tenor sizes, and a long neck Soprano! The Baritone size is also getting some love with the addition of an Exotic Mahogany model and a Ziricote offering. We have refreshed many models of our original short scale U•Bass with a streamlined new look. We are also adding 3 new “budget conscious” models into the line to create a bass playing opportunity for all. The USA-made Elite Series will have 4 new models including Concert and Super Tenor sizes with highly figured Myrtle back and sides with a Solid Spruce top and a Solid Maple Super Tenor. Kala is celebrating our 13th Anniversary and we have some special plans for later in the year.
To all the old, new and future ukesters out there, thanks for strumming, singing and playing a Kala!
